In 2022, 26 million Doctolib appointments were made by women out of 31 million registered. A sign that the mental burden in terms of health does fall on women. Even more so when it comes to making appointments for children. So Doctolib decided to act, reports France Inter.
The online appointment booking platform, therefore, addresses the issue of mental load and inequalities in the couple. Parents no longer have an excuse when it comes to managing the health of their children. In Doctolib, the account to make an appointment for children can now be managed by two accounts. Two users will be able to book, modify, cancel appointments.
The second novelty refers to the management of medical documents. At the end of the child’s medical appointment, the doctor can send the prescription directly to the corresponding Doctolib space. Both parents will have access to the document and one of them will be able to go directly to the pharmacy.
How to enable account sharing?
To activate this shared account in Doctolib, you need to go to your account by clicking on your name at the top right of the screen. Then click on the “My loved ones” section, and then on “Manage rights and access”. If your child doesn’t have an account yet, you can create one. Then validate with “Send an invitation”.
Then simply fill in the email or phone number of the person you want to manage your child’s account with. Then confirm the shipment.
The person in question receives an invitation and is then free to accept or reject it. The co-manager will thus have access to all documents, information and appointments relating to the child and will in turn be able to make an appointment.
The same manipulation is possible from the Doctolib mobile application in the “My account” section.
