iPhone 14 Pro: A surprising bug causes the camera to “vibrate” in some apps

iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max users have posted a video of a strange phenomenon observed on their device: the camera image moves, under certain circumstances.

Users who have just bought a new iPhone 14 Pro or Pro Max are facing a strange issue – camera shake when recording a video on an app like Snapchat, Instagram or TikTok.

YouTuber Luke Miani uploaded a video showing the problem on Twitter. Your iPhone 14 Pro Max camera shakes when you use Snapchat which makes the photo completely blurry. He also hears a buzz coming from the lens.

A software problem?

A first failure that would not come directly from the camera function but from the use of third-party applications such as Instagram or Snapchat. This could mean that the problem is with the application software and not with the Apple hardware. Instagram, Snapchat, and TikTok may need to update specifically for the iPhone 14 Pro.

The specialized American media The Verge has contacted Apple regarding this bug, with no response at the moment. The outlet also asked Instagram, Snapchat, and TikTok if they were working on a possible update to fix this issue. Again no return.

Apple recently introduced its new line of iPhones. The Pro model stands out for the quality of the camera, which Tech&Co was able to test. This time, Apple offers a 48-megapixel main photo sensor. On the video side, Apple is strengthening the stabilization feature with the arrival of an action mode that can be activated to shoot a sequence in motion. Apple has also improved its Cinematic mode, which now supports 4K.
