Dropshipping and scams of all kinds have abounded in the influencer industry for several months. So much so that the Assembly decided to tackle the problem head-on with its bill regulating influencers.
Approved on first reading, it is now being examined by the Senate. To analyze the text, the institution decided to question the actors in the sector, including Magali Berdah, who was questioned this Thursday, April 13, by three senators.
“We have responsibilities”
After returning to her career, the founder of Shauna Events unveiled her proposals to improve the poster. To regulate the sector and make it a “healthier” environment, Magali Berdah calls for the creation of a code of Conduct, as some professions can have. “We have responsibilities that are proven,” says the founder of Shauna Events.
Throughout the hearing, Magali Berdah also repeatedly mentioned the need for continuous training for influencers, and not just a certificate.
The Senate must continue working on the text of the law for several more weeks. In particular, he asked rapper Booba, heavily involved in influencer scandals, to testify in the same way as Magali Berdah, to which he refused.
The senators will discuss this law in public session on May 9.
