Forgotten candidate, transitions that “hurt the eye”, “very amateur” editing… During the broadcast of the daily premiere of the star academyOn October 20, his credits did not fail to make viewers react.
Firstly, because a major error had occurred: the production of the program had mistakenly omitted one of the 17 candidates, Léane, 19, from Montpellier. TF1 then mentioned a “technical issue” during editing, before correcting the error the next day.
But beyond this oversight, it is above all the aesthetics of the credits that makes people tremble. The portraits of the candidates were joined together in a choppy montage, with abrupt transitions, giving the impression of a messy work.
In an interview on Europe 1, Jean-Louis Blot, president of Endemol France and producer of the star academyHe later confided that the production “maybe rework” the credits in the face of criticism.
A new generic considered “too simplistic”
Result, after a week of broadcast of the star academythe promise was fulfilled. Viewers were thus able to discover a new version of these credits during the daily broadcast the day after prime, this Sunday, October 26.
Much more minimalist, this video this time shows the candidates in front of the Dammarie-les-Lys castle posing for their traditional promotional photo, without any inscription on the screen.
A more sober choice, but not necessarily more convincing: some Internet users considered this version too simplistic. It remains to be seen if the production will once again agree to listen to the negative comments and review its copy.
