Asus introduces the world’s thinnest and lightest OLED laptop

Asus introduced the Zenbook S13 OLED, a laptop that shows off a tiny kilo on the scale and a centimeter thick, while still being efficient.

A computer in your bag, powerful, but light and discreet. The dream of many users. Asus is taking a chance with its recently announced Zenbook S13 OLED on April 20. This newcomer to the brand’s range of stylish, high-performance computers appeals to those who want a portable PC that’s easy to transport.

Because Zenbook S13 OLED’s number one asset is its design: it’s thin and light. The last of the range shows a kilo on the scale and a centimeter thick, once closed. All for a 13.3-inch screen in 16:10 format that is also OLED and ultra-bright. Its hinge also allows it to open completely flat (180°).

But his prowess doesn’t stop there. Elegant, available in gray or blue, it also promises to be shock resistant with its ceramic aluminum frame. A hot composite material that should ensure off-road durability. The PC is made largely of recycled plastic for the chassis and recycled aluminum for the keyboard and trackpad.

The “world’s thinnest” OLED ultraportable

On this self-proclaimed “world’s thinnest with OLED” ultraportable, there are plenty of connectors (HDMI 2.1 ports, two Thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports, one USB 3.2 Gen 2 port, one jack).

Quite easy on the eye with its ribbed back, the Zenbook S13 OLED is also attractive on the inside. Asus equipped it with a 13th generation Intel Core i5 or i7 processor, up to 32GB of RAM, and 1TB of SSD storage. It runs on Windows 11 and supports Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity. As for the sound, the integrated and certified Harman Kardon speakers promise first-rate sound. They benefit from Dolby Atmos support.

Price and availability of the Asus Zenbook S13 OLED

The Asus Zenbook S13 OLED will be available in Basalt Gray (gray) and Ponder Blue (blue) from 1799 euros in the second quarter of 2023 on the Asus website and partner distributors.
