Facebook Messenger, Meta’s messaging service is currently experiencing malfunctions in several countries around the world.
On the DownDetector site, which allows Internet users to report outages, incidents are open from around 1:30 p.m., particularly in Poland and Australia, which seem to be the most affected. Some French users are also generating alerts, around a hundred so far.
Among the comments from Internet users, most indicate that they cannot send messages to their contacts or cannot view the photos they contain. On Twitter, they share the hashtag “MessengerDown” to signal the interruption.
At the moment, no information has been provided about the nature of the malfunction.
