A space expanded by 20% and more speakers than ever. This is the promise that Maurice Levy, co-founder of VivaTech, made this May 23, during a press conference in which he revealed the details of the digital fair. It will take place from June 14 to 17 at the Porte de Versailles and, in particular, will be open to the public. In 2022, the sixth edition of VivaTech attracted 91,000 visitors.
Among the main topics covered, we logically find those that are at the heart of digital news. AI will thus have a favorite place, with the speech by Jonas Andrulis, a former employee of Apple’s AI pole, who founded the German company Aleph Alpha, specialized in generative artificial intelligence.
Yann Le Cun, AI star
Maurice Levy also announced the participation of Yann Le Cun, head of artificial intelligence at Meta (parent company of Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp). On the other hand, the metaverse -one of the star themes of the previous edition- no longer stands out.
The program will also host exchanges on technology and the environment. Marie Castelli, Back Market’s public affairs officer, will be on stage, as will Sophie Dembinski, her Ecosia counterpart, who has developed a “green” search engine.
After the victory of the French team Vitality in the Major Counter-Strike in Paris, the head of the structure, Nicolas Maurer, will also be invited to speak.
As every year, the web giants will have the right to elected positions, starting with Meta, but also Google, Microsoft and Amazon. French digital groups such as Orange will be present, as will LVMH, which distinguished itself in 2022 with the largest stand at the event. Chinese giants Alibaba and Huawei will also be there.
