Not only children love nuggets, there are also retro game enthusiasts. In China, McDonald’s is celebrating 40 years of its chicken specialty. For this, special rates are applied, but the operation includes an object that supposedly attracts the attention of the public: a game console in the shape of a nugget.
A Game Boy Nugget
In reality, it is an electronic device at least summary. But owners can still use it to play Tetris, says the US site Gizmodo. A partnership has been signed between the fast food chain and the Tetris Company to bring the project to life.
Equipped with a non-backlit LCD screen and a directional cross look, the object is immediately reminiscent of the Game Boy. But don’t expect Nintendo’s handheld console performance.
The device is sold as an add-on in the Chinese locations of McDonald’s restaurants. It will cost you 30 yuan to get it, just under 4 euros. But on eBay, copies are already being resold for around 35 euros.
