Orange: a fault prevents making calls in several French cities

Many customers have problems making or receiving calls this Tuesday in various cities in France. The operator acknowledges a fault.

On the afternoon of this Tuesday, May 30, numerous Orange customers reported difficulties in making and receiving calls on social networks and on the specialized site Downdetector.

Messages have multiplied on Twitter to warn about the situation, which seems to worry several cities in France. Sosh customers, also on the Orange network, are affected in the same way by this outage.

Also on May 30, previous difficulties were reported on Downtdetector, a little earlier that same day. On this subject, Orange then spoke with Tech&Co about the difficulties, for about thirty minutes, in the 4G network.

The technical problems of this May 30 at the end of the day are therefore broader, with difficulties in making calls, whether in 3G, 4G or 5G. Due to the proper functioning of data services, it is recommended to use messaging applications (WhatsApp, iMessage, etc.) to make voice calls, which are independent of mobile networks.
