Meta employees gathered at the company’s headquarters in Menlo Park, California, for the first full meeting since 2020, and the introduction of Apple headphones poses a major competitive threat to Meta.
But that doesn’t seem to impress Mark Zuckerberg, who said in particular that Apple’s headphones don’t feature any major technological advances that Meta hasn’t “already explored.” He also pointed to the fact that Meta’s upcoming Quest 3 headphones will be much cheaper: $499 versus $3,499 for the Vision Pro. A price that allows Meta to target a broader audience.
And to add: “all the demonstrations they showed were those of a person sitting alone on a sofa.”
