Less than a month after its launch on the App Store, the latest update shows that ChatGPT is now available on iPad. The application is also compatible with Siri, reports the specialized medium TechCrunch.
On iPad, it is possible to activate the “split screen” mode. This functionality allows, for example, to make requests to ChatGPT on one part of the screen and then drag the responses on the other half of the screen. The application also works in “full screen” mode in a way that is optimized for the tablet interface.
The update could lead to new downloads of the ChatGPT app, which has topped the App Store since its launch, with half a million installations in less than a week.
An Android version should also be coming soon. It is also possible to opt for a paid subscription to ChatGPT, called ChatGPT Plus, from 20 euros per month, in order to benefit from faster responses and priority access to new features and improvements.
Available from Siri
Also new, ChatGPT is compatible with the Siri voice assistant. You can create custom ChatGPT shortcuts that work with Siri or ask Siri to open ChatGPT.
Since the launch of the application, ChatGPT has remained, in the United States, at number 4 in the Top Free ranking of the App Store. According to data.ai estimates, the app has been installed 7.3 million times worldwide on iOS and hasn’t left the top 5 in the US since its debut. The app is also number 1 in 31 countries.
