Final applause for the Philippe Chaffanjon award. Created in 2013 as a tribute to the former RTL and Radio France journalist, this prize has been awarded for 10 years to unique reports, on television, radio or written press, in order to highlight the field work of journalists. The organizers announce this Friday that they have decided to put an end to it, after having awarded two new reports.
For this tenth edition, two reports were awarded, among some sixty applications studied. The French reporting award goes to Clément Di Roma and Carol Valade for Art, with a theme on Russian soft power in the Central African Republic.
The Haitian reporting award goes to Ronel Paul from Zoom Haiti News, for a report on the ordeal of single mothers, in a country where 60% of families are single-parent.
Initiated by his family and about fifteen journalist friends, this award has made it possible in particular to highlight the investigations carried out by Haitian journalists and cross borders on these issues, in a country where reality is complex and often unknown.
