At least three people were killed and more than 70 injured Thursday when a tornado ripped through the north Texas city of Perryton, local officials said.
Between 50 and 70 injured are admitted to a hospital in the region, in the southern United States, while the most seriously injured were transferred by helicopter to other hospitals, the ABC News television channel reported.
The tornado passed over a trailer park, destroying everything in its path.
About 21 million people, from the states of Colorado (west) to Kansas (midwest), were under severe weather warnings on Thursday.
According to local television ABC7, at least three tornadoes could be seen in Perryton shortly after 5:00 p.m. (11:00 p.m. in Lisbon).
The fire chief told the station that at least 30 caravans were damaged or destroyed.
