Calling himself “the most pro-union president” in history, Biden strongly praised unionists and the working class, drawing a round of applause after saying, “Wall Street didn’t make America…you did.”
At the Philadelphia Congress Hall, the Democratic head of state highlighted his comprehensive climate, tax and health package signed last year, as well as other achievements during his two-and-a-half-year term in office.
During his speech, Biden was interrupted by shouts from union members, who called for “four more years, four more years,” as they held up signs reading “Workers with Joe Biden and Kamala Harris in 2024.”
“They gave us what we asked for. Now it’s time to pay that debt,” a union leader said before Biden took the stage and called for Democrat votes.
