The two tech billionaires Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg, owners of Twitter and Meta, respectively, agreed to fight in a ring.
The Tesla Motors chief executive posted a message on his social network, Twitter, saying he was “ready for a ring fight” with Facebook chief executive Mark Zuckerberg.
It all started when Musk, the owner of Twitter, responded to a tweet about Meta, which is reportedly preparing to launch a Twitter rival called “Threads.”
Commenting on the risk of the world being left “solely under Zuck’s control, with no other options,” Musk wrote Tuesday that he is “ready for a ring fight if he [Zuckerberg] are you”.
Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta Platforms, which owns Facebook and Instagram, responded and appeared to agree with Musk’s proposal.
“Send me the location,” Zuckerberg wrote in an Instagram post Wednesday night, which showed a screenshot of Musk’s tweet along with another user’s reply urging the Twitter owner to “start training.”
Zuckerberg is trained in mixed martial arts and posted about completing his first jiu jitsu tournament last month.
In response to Zuckerberg’s location request on Wednesday, Musk proposed the Las Vegas Octagon and joked about his fighting skills and workout routine, suggesting the fight might not be serious.
“I have a great move I call ‘The Walrus’ where I just lie on top of my opponent and do nothing,” Musk wrote.
