The right-wing party of former Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis came out ahead in the legislative elections this Sunday in Greece, according to exit polls, which should give it an absolute majority.

New Democracy (ND), in power from 2019 until the end of May, would obtain between 40% and 44% of the votes ahead of Alexis Tsipras’ left-wing party Syriza, which would obtain between 16.1% and 19. 1% of the votes, an even lower score than in previous elections on May 21, according to polls published at the closing of the polling stations by television channels.
