The historian and former leader of the PSD, Pacheco Pereira, assures that nobody “knows anything about what happened” about the revolt of mercenaries from the Wagner paramilitary group in Russia. In the usual commentary on the program “The Uncertainty Principle”, by TSF and from CNN Portugal, Pacheco Pereira points out, however, that it is possible to “interpret” signs of weakness in the Russian army.
“The fragments that we can interpret are complicated for Putin, for example, how they occupy the barracks, at the foot of the forces that are fighting in Ukraine, and appear in a film talking kindly with the military commanders of that same barracks in Rostov. and, apparently, a great friendship and a great understanding?” questioned the commentator Pacheco Pereira.

Pacheco Pereira stresses that the “problem is not the Wagner Group”, but the “situation within the Russian armed forces”.
As for Alexandra Leitão, Russia “is an internal powder keg.” Above all that she has heard in recent days, the socialist deputy highlights the “fear” caused by political instability “in the world’s largest nuclear power.”

On the other hand, Alexandra Leitão is “curious” about how Russian President Vladimir Putin will treat Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu.
The commentator António Lobo Xavier also has more doubts than certainties and is not “capable of seeing” Putin “as the winner in this kind of announced mutiny.”
“I don’t think it’s possible to imagine that the president of the Russian Federation thought he could win with that riot, that he couldn’t stop it violently, like any riot in a normal country would be stopped,” he said.
A kind of announced riot.

Mercenaries from the Wagner paramilitary group took control of the Russian army headquarters in Rostov, southwestern Russia, led by their leader, Yevgeny Prigozhin, last Saturday. In less than 24 hours the movements were suspended and the mercenaries left the city.
