The Ukrainian military recaptured a total of 37 square kilometers of eastern and southern Ukraine from Russian forces during the ongoing counter-offensive in those regions, Kiev Deputy Defense Minister Ganna Malear said on Monday.
In the south, “the liberated territory increased to 28.4 square kilometers,” bringing the total area reconquered in this part of the country since the start of the counteroffensive in early June to 158 square kilometers, Ganna Maliar said.
In the east, kyiv’s gains amounted to nine square kilometers.
On the other hand, the Ukrainian Army assures the demolition of 13 Russian unmanned aerial devices (drones) in the last hours without mentioning the possible existence of victims or material damage.
According to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Army, “during the early morning (…) the Russian occupation forces carried out another attack with Shaed drones (of Iranian manufacture)”, indicating that 17 devices were designed by Russian forces.
The targets of the drones were not specified.
