Taiwan’s Defense Ministry detected 26 fighter jets and four warships belonging to the Chinese military in the vicinity of the island on Wednesday.
Nine aircraft crossed the airspace to the southwest, so the Taiwan Armed Forces monitored the situation and responded by deploying planes, ships and ground-based missile systems, Taiwan’s Defense Ministry reported on Twitter.
