Eight people were stuck upside down on a roller coaster for three hours at the Forest County Festival in Wisconsin, US.
The incident occurred on Sunday, July 2 due to a mechanical failure of the roller coaster, two days after a festival-goer noticed a crack in a steel mainstay.
Ten fire engines, nine ambulances and 50 people helped rescue the passengers, the fire service said.
There were seven children and one adult who, although not injured, were assisted by emergency medical services and one person was taken to hospital as a precaution.

“There was a mechanical failure that caused the carousel to remain upright. The structure was recently inspected by Wisconsin state officials here on site,” said Fire Chief Brennan Cook.
The coaster was closed for inspection and repair.
