Ukraine claimed to have shot down 11 unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) in the Kiev region this Wednesday, on the second night of Russian strikes, at the same time as the NATO summit in Lithuania.
“The attack involved the firing of a total of 15 high-explosive drones, of which 11 were destroyed,” the Ukrainian Air Force said in a statement posted on social media.
On the other hand, the armed forces of Ukraine have stated that they are continuing the offensive in the vicinity of Bakhmut, in the east of the country,
Kiev’s troops “repulsed” Russian attacks in some parts of the Bakhmut front and in Avdivka, according to Ukraine General Staff spokesman Andri Kovalov.
The spokesman also indicated that in southwest Donetsk province and west of Zaporijia, Kiev is “continuing actions” and “consolidating positions” by destroying Russian armed forces’ war material.
