Five people were killed and at least seven others injured when a small plane crashed into a hangar at an airport near Warsaw on Monday night, Poland’s health minister said.
“We have at least seven injured and five dead,” Adam Niedzielski tweeted after the accident at the small Chrcynno airport, 47 km north of the Polish capital. Contacted, a local police spokeswoman, Joanna Wielocha, confirmed having received information about a plane crash at the Chrcynno sports airport around 7:40 p.m. local time (5:40 p.m. GMT).
“Our agents were dispatched to the scene,” he said, without elaborating.
According to Polish media, it is a Cessna 208 plane that fell into a hangar where there were about fifteen people, during a storm.
