Ukrainian authorities said they had repelled a nighttime drone attack on the capital, on a night when Russian troops attacked several parts of the country, mainly in the south, including the port city of Odessa.
“The air defense detected and destroyed all the enemy drones”, so there were no casualties or material damage, said the head of the military administration of the city of Kiev, Serhiy Popko.
“It was a tough night of air strikes in Ukraine, in the south, especially in Odessa. But the enemy did not forget about kyiv either,” he said.
Kiev Mayor Vitali Klitschko also indicated on the Telegram messaging platform that “sounds of explosions were heard” in the kyiv area.
