The Kremlin on Monday announced its refusal to renew the grain agreement signed in July 2022 under the auspices of the United Nations and Turkey, which allowed for the safe transportation of Ukrainian agricultural products, despite the conflict and the naval blockade of Ukrainian ports. .

Moscow justified the decision to suspend its participation on the grounds that several parts of the agreement were not adhered to, in particular the barriers to trade in its Russian grains, fertilizers and food products.
