At least 11 people are missing after a fire broke out at a rehabilitation center in the town of Wintzenheim, in the Alsace region of France.
The news was advanced by Agence France-Presse, which quotes local firefighters.
The municipality of Haut-Rhin confirmed that the fire “was quickly brought under control, despite the violence of the flames.” “17 people were evacuated, one person was taken to hospital with injuries, and one person was treated in shock. A group of 11 people are missing.”
On social networks, the French Interior Minister, Gérald Darmanin, confirms that the fire caused “several victims”.
