The torrential rains that have affected northern China have already caused around 100 deaths, after a new balance confirmed 21 deaths after a landslide.
On Saturday, state broadcaster CCTV announced that two people had been killed and 16 were missing after a landslide south of the city of Xi’An in the central province of Shaanxi, bringing the death toll to 80. .
Today, the local authorities released a new report, in which they indicate that at least 21 people died as a result of the same collapse, thus accounting for around 100 deaths.
“Six people are still missing,” the Xi’an Emergency Management Office said.
The landslide destroyed two houses, damaged roads, bridges, electricity supplies, and other infrastructure.
A hundred soldiers and firefighters were mobilized to participate in the relief operations.
