Poland arrested two Russian citizens who were “distributing propaganda material for the Wagner Group” in Warsaw and Krakow, Poland’s two largest cities, the interior minister said on Monday.
“Both were accused of espionage and were arrested,” Mariusz Kaminski wrote on X (formerly Twitter), without giving further details about the men arrested.

Poland recently warned of possible provocations by that mercenary group, currently stationed in neighboring Belarus, and so announced an increase in troops on the border between the two countries.
The Polish press last week reported the appearance of stickers with the Wagner logo and inscriptions in English saying: “We are here – join us”. Next to this sentence were QR codes that redirected to a Russian website about the mercenary group.
Residents of the city of Krakow, which is located in Poland, complain about the appearance of Wagner stickers.
The stickers are aimed at recruiting local residents, with the inscription:

According to the daily newspaper Gazeta Wyborcza, residents of Krakow and Warsaw reported the stickers to the police. The Interior Ministry did not specify whether the arrests were related to the distribution of the stickers.
