Three killed in Russian airstrikes in eastern Ukraine

Three people died on Wednesday and two were injured in Russian bombardments against two towns near Lyman, in eastern Ukraine, announced the head of the military administration of the Donetsk region, Pavlo Kyrylenko.

Russian forces “tonight attacked two places in the Lyman community: three people were killed and one wounded in Torske, another civilian was wounded in Zakitne,” Kyrylenko wrote on Telegram.

“According to preliminary data”, the Donetsk regional prosecutor’s office added on its Facebook page, “the invaders attacked with artillery”, first the town of Torske, at 18:50 local time (15:50 in Lisbon), before Zakitne, half an hour later.

The fatalities in Torske are two women and one man, aged between 63 and 88, while a person from the same town suffered chest, shoulder and hip injuries.

According to the same source, in Zakitne, a 26-year-old man suffered a fractured skull and concussion.

In a separate incident, four civilians were injured by mortar fire and a residential building was damaged by two drone blasts in Seredyno-Buda in the Sumy region of northeastern Ukraine, the local military administration said on Facebook.
