After a few months of adaptation, large platforms such as X (formerly known as Twitter) and Facebook (of the Meta group) now have to start complying with the obligations imposed by the new EU Digital Services Law.
These obligations are due to the entry into force this Friday of the EU Digital Services Law, according to which the Commission defined 19 large online platforms, with 45 million monthly active users, which must comply with the new regulations, among them AliExpress. , Amazon, Apple AppStore, Booking.com, Facebook, Google Play, Google Maps, Google Shopping, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Snapchat, TikTok, Twitter, Wikipedia, YouTube and Zalando.
In addition, two very large search engines, such as Bing and the Google search engine.
Last November, the new Digital Services Law was officially adopted, created to protect the fundamental rights of ‘online’ users and becoming unprecedented legislation for the digital space that holds platforms responsible for illegal and harmful content.
