Two people were killed in kyiv in a Russian missile attack, civil and military authorities in the Ukrainian capital said on Wednesday.
“Unfortunately, according to the first information, two people died as a result of falling debris in the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kiev (…). Another person was injured,” said the head of the local military administration, Sergei Popko, in the Telegram messaging platform.
“In a non-residential building (…) two men were found dead,” Kiev Mayor Vitali Klitschko wrote on the same forum, adding that two people were injured and hospitalized.
The military officials stressed that kyiv today suffered the biggest attack “since spring.”
“A night air attack. Kiev had not seen such a strong attack since spring. The enemy launched a massive attack (…), using drones and missiles,” Sergei Popko said, noting that “in total, more than 20 enemies. The targets were destroyed” by the Ukrainian air defense.
Civil and military authorities had previously reported that debris had fallen in the Shevchenkivskyi and Darnytskyi districts, starting fires.
