At least three people died in a Russian aerial bombardment in the city of Zaporijia in southern Ukraine, authorities announced on Monday, September 22.
This bombing also made two wounded, one of which are in serious condition, wrote on Telegram the head of the regional administration of Zaporijia, Ivan Fedorov, and added that a woman’s body had been extracted from the rubble.
This attack follows the repeated Russian bombings that occur during the weekend in several regions of Ukraine. On Saturday, the Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelensky, announced that 40 missiles and about 580 drones had launched Russia during a “mass attack.”
“Each typical strike does not meet a military need, but a deliberate strategy of Russia aimed at terrorizing civilians and destroying our infrastructure,” Zelensky accused on social networks.
Strikes in Kyiv, Soumy and Dnipropetrovsk
Shortly before, the authorities of the Dnipropetrovsk region, in the center of eastern Ukraine, reported on Saturday an important attack of Russian missiles and drones. “The Dnipropetrovsk region was again the objective of a mass attack,” said Serguii Lyssak, head of the Regional Military Administration, in Telegram, evoking destroyed business buildings and fires.
“According to preliminary data, a person died after acts of enemy terror (…) Other thirteen were injured,” he explained. According to Lossak, the last evaluation informs a dead and 26 injured.
In August, Ukraine, for the first time, acknowledged that the Russian soldiers had entered their Dnipropetrovsk region, where Moscow had claimed on the side of the advances in July.
During the night from Sunday to Monday, other Russian attacks were again injured in kyiv and another in Soumy, according to local officials.
On the Russian side, the authorities announced on Saturday the death of four people killed by strikes of Ukrainian drones, in the Samara region, located in the southwest of Russia, more than 800 kilometers from the front.
On Sunday night, three people died and 16 were injured on Sunday in Crimea, south of the Ukraine Peninsula Annexes by Moscow, during an attack of Ukrainian unmanned planes on Sunday night, said the local leader.
Ukraine regularly addresses Russia with drones, responding to the magnitude thrown against its territory in 2022, but it is rare that these strikes are also mortal, especially far from its borders. At this stage, the war, the Russian army currently controls approximately 20% of the Ukrainian territory.
