At least 16 people died after a Russian missile attack hit a market in the city of Kostiantynivka, in Donetsk, the Ukrainian president revealed on the social network X (formerly Twitter).
“Russian terrorists attacked a market, shops and a pharmacy, killing innocent people. The number of victims could rise further,” Volodymyr Zelensky wrote in a message accompanied by a video of the attack, the images of which can be considered shocking.

The Ukrainian president condemned the “utter inhumanity” of the attack and sent his condolences to the families.
According to Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Smyhal, there are still at least 20 wounded.
This attack takes place on a day when US Secretary of State Antony Blinken is in Kiev, where he is expected to meet the Ukrainian president and announce a new financial aid package for Ukraine.
