According to SIC, two Portuguese women may have been taken hostage by Hamas

According to SIC correspondent in Israel, Henrique Cymerman, two Portuguese women may have been taken hostage by Hamas.

After raising the possibility that a 22-year-old Sephardic Israeli girl was kidnapped by the Palestinian group, the journalist stated that another 25-year-old girl could be in the same situation.

There is still no confirmation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The two were at a music festival where hundreds of young people were killed and some taken to Gaza by Hamas.

According to a diplomatic source, because these young women are Israeli citizens, they enjoy protection from the authorities of that country, which is better positioned than a foreign country, in this case Portugal.

There are approximately 100,000 Israelis of Portuguese nationality in the Tel Aviv area. About 60 thousand have already completed the process, the rest are in the completion phase.
In this way, many more cases of people of Portuguese nationality involved in the conflict could arise.
