Shahd Wadi, from the Palestinian Community in Portugal, accuses and criticizes the Portuguese Government of having a double standard for being on the side of Israel.
“Obviously, I condemn it and ask that there be no double standards. If you are supporting one people to free them from an invader, you have to support all the people to free them from their invaders. What is happening in Palestine last year? “It is more serious than any other time and peace in Palestine will only be achieved if we end the occupation of Palestine and the increasingly harsh Israeli colonization policies,” he says, speaking with TSF.
All Palestinians are united to resist Israeli oppression, Shahd Wadi guarantees.
“This is an attack carried out by the entire Palestinian people, led by Hamas, but it is carried out by the entire Palestinian resistance and the entire Palestinian people are supporting it, because [o povo palestiniano] “You cannot continue to be oppressed forever and ask the international community for help to put an end to this operation that was carried out many years ago and nothing happens,” he explains.
“The entire Palestinian people are on the side of the Palestinian resistance in every way. We have the right to resist because there is nothing else to do,” he reiterates.
Shahd Wadi also calls to participate in the protest of the Palestinian community in Portugal, this afternoon, in Largo de Camões, in Lisbon.
Hamas launched a surprise attack on Israeli territory on Saturday (Operation al-Aqsa Storm), with the launch of thousands of rockets and the incursion of militias.
In response to the Hamas attack, Israel bombed the Gaza Strip and took up positions in the south of the territory.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared that Israel is “at war” with Hamas.
