The president of the European Commission defended this Wednesday that the attacks carried out by Hamas are “an act of war” and that the European Union (EU) fully supports “Israel’s right to defense.”
“In the early hours of last Saturday, the entire world woke up terrified. The Hamas terrorist attack is an act of war. And we fully support Israel’s right to defend itself,” wrote Ursula von der Leyen on the social network (previously Twitter ).
Ursula von der Leyen added that the EU “stands with Israel in this tragedy.”
