Belgian Prime Minister Alexander De Croo announced this Wednesday that his country is available to send F-16 fighters to Ukraine starting in 2025, without specifying how many aircraft will be sent.
The announcement was made in Brussels during a joint press conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Zelensky traveled by surprise to the capital of Belgium to participate in meetings of defense ministers of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), specifically the Contact Group for the Defense of Ukraine – of which Portugal is a member -, and discuss new phases of support for the country invaded by Russia as winter approaches.
