Two people were killed in a shooting in Brussels on Monday. The suspect is on the run, the Public Prosecution Service in the Belgian capital reports to AFP. The victims are believed to be two Swedish citizens, according to investigators average locations.
The alleged gunman, who was wearing a fluorescent orange jacket, fled the scene after opening fire with an automatic weapon, as shown in the video shared by the newspaper “Het Laatste Nieuws”.

Authorities immediately isolated the place.
The attack comes as the Luxembourg national team plays Sweden at the King Baudouin Stadium in a match that counts towards the Euro2024 qualifying phase.
The Belgian Prime Minister said on social media that he is following the “developments” of this situation “together with the Ministers of Justice and Home Affairs from the national crisis center.”
“We are monitoring the situation and would like to ask Brussels residents to be vigilant,” Alexandre De Croo shouted on the social network X (formerly Twitter).
