Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdolahian assured the leader of the political wing of the Islamist group Hamas, Ismail Haniye, and the Secretary General of Islamic Jihad, Ziad al Najala, of support for the Palestinian militias in the conflict with Israel.
‘The resistance is strong on the Palestinian side. The Israeli regime’s political and security structure has collapsed and only its war machine is working against civilians,” the head of Iranian diplomacy said on the social network X (formerly Twitter).

Earlier, Amirabdolahian had arranged a telephone conversation with his Egyptian counterpart, Samé Shukri, as part of “diplomatic consultations” with “the authorities of Islamic countries on the need to put an end to Zionist war crimes against the oppressed people of Gaza.”
“The ultimate goal of the false and occupying Israeli regime is the forced migration of residents of Gaza and the West Bank to the Sinai region of Egypt and parts of Jordan,” he told his Egyptian counterpart, according to a statement.
“In fact, Tel Aviv is trying to establish a Palestinian state, but outside the historical territory of the Palestinians. But resistance has been the main obstacle to the realization of the Zionists’ troubled dreams,” he added.
Hussein Amirabdolahian also demanded the “immediate cessation of the killing of the Palestinian people, the sending of humanitarian aid and a strong opposition to the policy of forced migration of Palestinian residents of the Gaza Strip.”
The Iranian minister declared himself “against expanding the scope of the war” but defended “the Palestinian people remaining on its territory,” Shukri said in the same statement.
Hamas, for its part, said the conversation with Amirabdolahian was about various alternatives to prevent the “brutal crimes” Israel is committing in the Gaza Strip.
According to a statement, Amirabdolahian and Haniye discussed “how to use all methods to stop the brutal crimes committed by the enemy in the Gaza Strip,” and on the “latest developments regarding the Zionist aggression on the Gaza Strip.”
