The Palestinian Authority’s Foreign Ministry accused Israel on Tuesday of “deepening the genocide” against the Palestinian population with the attacks on hospitals in the Gaza Strip.
“Attacking the remaining hospitals in the Gaza Strip deepens the genocide committed by the occupying state, depriving citizens and patients of their right to the simplest forms of healthcare.”the MNO said in a statement.
The text states that despite thousands of people taking refuge in hospitals to escape the bombings, Israel continues to attack facilities in the Gaza Strip, which have been controlled by the Palestinian Islamist movement Hamas since 2007.
“Stopping war is the right approach to protect civilians and meet their basic needs”he claimed.
The Palestinian Authority once again appealed to the international community to listen to “the cries and suffering” of the Palestinians.
The Palestinian representative also asked the community to listen to the testimonies of organizations such as the International Committee of the Red Cross, which have denounced the collapse of hospital infrastructure in the Gaza Strip.
The statement also reiterated condemnation of the Israeli attacks that continued to hit operational hospitals, ambulances and medical teams in the Gaza Strip.
The latest death toll from the ministry under the control of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) is over 8,500 dead, resulting from Israeli strikes in response to the Hamas attack on October 7, which left 1,400 dead and around 240 hostages.
