The Israeli Community of Lisbon warns this Tuesday that “the wounds are very open” and, a month after the attack by the terrorist group Hamas on Israel, “we still cry little.”
“Last week I was in Israel and met with survivors and families of hostages. The wounds are wide open. and the situation that must be eliminated,” he says, speaking with TSFthe president of the Israeli Community of Lisbon, David Joffe Botelho, pointing out how The main culprit is the Islamist movement Hamas.
The official considers that Israeli troops are acting “with the greatest care to avoid collateral damage” and highlights that A “humanitarian pause” is possible in exchange for hostages.

On the other hand, the Israeli Community of Lisbon is concerned about the “Growing anti-Semitism” in the world and calls for “peace to be restored in the Middle East.”

Israel launched the offensive after the attacks of October 7, which caused around 1,400 deaths and the Islamist movement Hamas took more than 200 hostages.
Authorities in the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip have so far confirmed more than ten thousand deadincluding more than 4,100 children, while more than 160 Palestinians lost their lives as a result of actions by Israeli forces or as a result of settler attacks in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
