An Estonian hotel receptionist was severely burned with a blowtorch in the center of Lausanne, Switzerland, on Wednesday by a German citizen, police said.

The perpetrator, a 44-year-old German citizen, was arrested a few minutes later in the center of Lausanne, in possession of the equipment used to commit his act.

“She was removed from our establishment,” hotel manager Eric Fassbind told the local 24 Hours newspaper.
