Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Iran’s highest authority, affirmed this Sunday that Israel’s defeat in the war against Hamas in Gaza “is a fact” and urged Muslim countries to cut ties with Tel Aviv.
The supreme leader spoke during a visit to the development center of the Air Force of the Revolutionary Guard Corps, the country’s ideological army, during which a new version of a hypersonic ballistic missile, the Fattah II, was presented.
“The defeat of the Zionist regime in Gaza is a fact. Entering hospitals and homes is not a victory, because victory means the defeat of the other side, which it has not achieved so far and will not achieve in the future,” stated the ‘ Ayatollah’ in a speech.
“This inability is also that of the United States and Western countries” and their military inability to help defeat the Palestinian movement, he added.
Iran welcomed the deadly attacks launched by the Palestinian Islamist movement in Israel on October 7, although it said it was not involved.
According to Ali Khamenei, “Zionists consider themselves a superior race and consider the rest of humanity an inferior race. That is why they killed thousands of children without any remorse.”
Ali Khamenei also considered it unacceptable that “some Muslim countries seem to condemn the crimes of the Zionist regime” without taking action.
“Muslim countries must break their political relations with the Zionist regime, at least for a time,” he stated, also calling for the suspension of “supply of energy and products” to Israel.
Several Arab countries, including Egypt, the United Arab Emirates and Morocco, have established official relations with Israel, Tehran’s sworn enemy.
During his visit, Ayatollah Khamenei examined Israel’s fleet of missiles and drones, one of which is called Gaza.
They presented him with the Fattah II, a new version of a hypersonic missile presented in June, with a range of 1,400 kilometers and a speed between 13 and 15 times the speed of sound, according to the IRNA agency. Improved versions of the 9-Dey anti-missile system and the Shahed 147 drone were also presented today.
The development of Iran’s military arsenal worries many countries, especially the United States and Israel, which fear that their territory could be affected by Iranian weapons.
Today, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi stressed that “a just world system will emerge from the blood of oppressed Palestinian children” and criticized the position of the international community regarding Israel’s offensive against the Gaza Strip.
“The suffering of the Palestinian people has put us all before the divine test of how to support them,” he stated, before adding that “the world’s population, in addition to hating the Zionist regime and the United States, feels despair at the ineffectiveness of international mechanisms.” “, according to a statement published by the Iranian presidency on its website.
In this sense, he stressed that the world population “seeks a just world order”, and stressed that “the blood of the oppressed Palestinian children will open the way to revenge from the hand of God and the end of the rule of the oppressors and pharaohs of this time” .
Israel launched its offensive against the enclave after Hamas attacks on October 7, which left around 1,200 dead and 240 kidnapped.
Authorities in the Islamist-controlled Gaza Strip reported 12,300 deaths, including more than 5,000 children, while more than 180 Palestinians were killed by Israeli security forces and in settler attacks in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
