The Russian leader – who welcomed Turkey’s interest in becoming a Russian gas distribution center to Europe – acknowledged that common projects between the two countries may not appeal to the West.

Putin also said the agriculture and energy ministers of Moscow and Ankara are already negotiating to advance the protocols for distributing gas to Europe and selling Russian grains and fertilizers to the least developed countries.
