The group that nominated Putin includes senior officials from the ruling United Russia party, well-known Russian actors and singers, athletes and other public figures.
Putin has used different tactics over the years: for example, in 2018 he ran as an independent candidate and his campaign collected signatures, and in 2012 he ran as a candidate for the ruling United Russia party, so no signatures were needed. firms.
