The Hamas Health Ministry announced this Sunday that at least sixty people were killed in an Israeli attack on houses in a refugee camp in the Gaza Strip.
The ministry, which initially reported at least 45 deaths, said the Israeli attack had destroyed at least three houses in the al-Maghazi refugee camp in the center of the Gaza Strip.
This death toll could not immediately be confirmed by an independent source. When questioned, the Israeli military stated that it was “verifying” the information.
Health Ministry spokesman Ashraf al-Qudra stated that the attack had destroyed “a block of inhabited houses” and that the death toll “could increase” due to the large number of families living there at the time of the attack.
In addition, according to the Hamas Health Ministry, 10 members of the same family were killed today in an Israeli attack on their home in the Jabaliya camp in northern Gaza Strip.
