All Eurostar trains connecting London to continental Europe have been cancelled

“Due to the flooding of a tunnel on the high-speed line near London, we have to cancel all trains on our route to and from London today,” Eurostar said in a statement on its website.

According to Eurostar, 41 trains were canceled, leaving around 30 thousand passengers in London, Paris, Brussels and Amsterdam.

These cancellations occur during one of the busiest weekends of the year as they coincide with New Year’s Eve festivities.

Eurostar had already announced that trains would be canceled until 4pm.

The railway company regretted the inconvenience and asked passengers to go to Eurostar’s website to see how they could receive the compensation due.

As early as December 21, the departure period for the Christmas holidays, Eurostar passengers were confronted with numerous train cancellations due to a strike that paralyzed the tunnel under the Channel.
