Russian President Vladimir Putin declared martial law in the four annexed regions of Ukrainian territory on Wednesday morning. The order goes into effect this Thursday.
During a meeting of the Russian Security Council, the Russian head of state decreed that the law will be applied in the cities of Lugansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhia and Kherson, adding that the decree had already been signed.
