At the final press conference of the summit, which took place on Thursday and this Friday, in Brussels, the leader of the community executive advanced that kyiv requested, by 2023, aid worth between three and four billion euros, which von der Leyen noted. which will also be available by the United States and financial institutions.

Ursula von der Leyen also added that the EU finance ministers had a mandate to “develop the appropriate mechanism” to allow kyiv “this reliable flow of income.”

Russia launched a military offensive on February 24 that was condemned by the EU, which has responded by sending funding and weapons to Ukraine and imposing political and economic sanctions on Moscow.
