The permanent mission of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) began this Monday at the Ukrainian nuclear power plant in Zaporizhia with two permanent members, after six other specialists who carried out inspections in recent days left the site.
“The members of the IAEA mission left the nuclear plant, leaving two people as observers,” Vladimir Rogov, a member of the pro-Russian council of the Ukrainian province, told Komosomolskaya Pravda radio.
The head of the pro-Russian administration of the city of Energodar, where the nuclear power plant is located, Alexander Volga, confirmed the news to the Russian news agency Interfax, saying that the inspectors “will be in charge of controlling the safety of the operation.” of the nuclear power plant.

Volga acrescentou que no momento a situação radiológica ao redor da central é normal.
A Rússia e a Ucrânia acusam-se há semanas de ataques à fábrica de Zaporijia.
Diante do aumento das tensões em torno da central nuclear, a AIEA enviou uma delegação chefiada por Grossi para analisar a situação no local.
Na terça-feira, Grossi apresentará um relatório ao Conselho de Segurança da ONU sobre sua missão em Zaporijia.
