The names of the Sunak Government: Raab in Justice and Hunt remains in Finance

Jeremy Hunt, appointed UK Finance Minister just over a week ago by then-Prime Minister Liz Truss, will continue in office at the service of the government now led by Rishi Sunak.

The composition of the British executive began to be known this Tuesday and, in addition to the continuity of Hunt, it is also known that Dominic Raab will be the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice.

Foreign Secretary James Cleverly is transitioning from the previous government, as is Ben Wallace, who will continue to lead Defense. Nadhim Zahawi also has a seat in the government, but no portfolio is assigned to him.

Suella Braverman, who resigned a day before Liz Truss did the same, returns to her post as Home Secretary.

The Minister for Trade, Energy and Industrial Strategy is Grant Shapps and the Education portfolio is held by Gillian Keegan.

The topics of Work and Pensions will be in charge of Mel Stride and Environment, Food and Rurality in charge of Thérèse Coffey.

Penny Mordaunt, who was running for the Conservative leadership and, on resigning, was handed over to Sunak, was re-elected as Leader of the House of Commons.

The elected parliamentary leader is Simon Hart, who was Government Minister for Wales from 2019 to 2022 under the leadership of Boris Johnson.

As Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster comes Oliver Dowden.
